RMG Wage Calculator — grade, OT, net pay.

Wage-board grades, the 9% annual increment, overtime at twice the basic rate, absence deductions and festival bonus, for one worker's payslip or your whole factory's payroll. The same rules your Odoo payroll should apply.

The attendance bonus is factory policy, not law, so it's paid only with zero absence. The increment is 9% of basic from December 2024 (it was 5% before). Change it here if the wage board revises it.

Every grade also gets medical ৳750, conveyance ৳450 and food ৳1,250. These are starting minimums from 1 December 2023, before any annual increments.

    Rules used and sources
    • Grades and components: the RMG Minimum Wage Board gazette, effective 1 December 2023. 5 worker grades from ৳12,500 to ৳14,750 gross, plus an apprentice rate of ৳9,875 for up to 3 months (extendable by 3).
    • Annual increment: 5% of basic under the 2023 structure. The government's January 2025 gazette raised it to 9%, effective 1 December 2024, until the next wage board. The calculator applies it once per completed year of service.
    • Overtime: Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, section 108, sets OT at twice the ordinary basic rate. The hourly basic is basic ÷ 208 (48 hours × 52 weeks ÷ 12).
    • Festival bonus: Bangladesh Labour Rules 2015, rule 111. Two bonuses a year, each up to one month's basic, after one year of continuous service.
    • Absence deduction: uses the common practice of basic ÷ days in month × days absent. Check your own factory policy and the Labour Act limits on deductions.

Watch this space: in August 2026, unions called for the Minimum Wage Board to be reconstituted so a new structure can take effect this December. When a new gazette is published, this calculator will be updated. Compliance Watch tracks it.

Not legal advice. This calculator follows the published gazette and Labour Act rules as I understand them for payroll configuration. Factory agreements, buyer codes of conduct and later gazettes can change the numbers. Confirm with your HR/compliance adviser before paying.
